The best computer is the one between your ears!”–Garfield

Hello, I am Brett Schnitzer and I teach Middle School Social Studies at Auburn High School.  I enjoy teaching, coaching football, and leading groups to History Day at Auburn.  I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the greatest teachers and paraprofessionals in the state who currently work for District #29 and those who have moved on to retirement and other endeavors. I believe all students possess the ability to learn as well as teachers can always learn from their students and their students “concerns”.

How to Contact Me

You may contact me before school and during my plan time (8:00a.m-8:45a.m) by calling 402-274-4328.  You may also email me anytime at brett.schnitzer@apsbulldogs.org and I will respond as soon as possible.

Family, Hobbies, and Interests

I live in Nebraska City with my wife, Melanie, 10 year-old son, Brady, and 2 year old daughter, Allie.  My wife and I grew up in Nebraska City and we live on our family farm.  My children are the joy of my life and I spend most of my time playing with them.  We regularly travel to see the Huskers play football.  Over the summer I spend most of my time umping and coaching my son in baseball team. My favorite song has been “Let it Go” from the hit Disney movie “Frozen”, ever since I heard a group of 7th Grader’s sing it Karaoke style.
