Hello, my name is Zach Lempka and I teach the fifth grade at Calvert Elementary. I will be teaching math, reading, spelling, and all of fifth grade social studies. I will be the defensive coordinator for the high school football team and assistant track coach at the Jr. High level. This will be my 3rd year as a teacher and coach. I completed my student teaching at Calvert in the Fall of 2014. I look forward to an exciting year and meeting with my students and their parents.
I grew up in Sterling, Nebraska and graduated from Sterling High School in 2010. I currently live in Sterling with my wife Marissa. After high school, I furthered my education at Peru State College where I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. During my time at Peru State, I played football for the Bobcats and was apart of many organizations.
I have one older brother, Adam, who teaches in Lincoln, and one younger sister Jordan, who attends Midland University. Both my parents still reside in Sterling. I enjoy traveling, hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors.
