Nebraska State Fair Musical Winners

Last year music educators set the goal to help restore America's voice through music education with the aim being to re-teach millions of Americans to sing "The Star -Spangled Banner.
The multi-year project culminates on Flag Day 2007.
As part of the project the National Anthem Project Road Show is touring the country. At each road stop, the children have the opportunity to participate in many hands-on activities, listen to performances and to perform the anthem.
On August 25-27, the National Anthem Road Show was at the Nebraska State Fair. Auburn Elementary third grade student Brenna Schulte and fifth grade students Melanie and Julie Slama signed up to perform the anthem and were awarded a ribbon medallion for their musical achievement.
