The Bulldogs defeat Valentine in Double OT to win the C1 FB Title

The Auburn Football Team defeated Valentine 28-27 in the C1 Football Finals at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The double overtime thriller completed a perfect season for the Bulldogs and captured the school's first state title in football.

The Bulldogs were led by Luke Lundy who had 114 yards on 31 carries and one touchdown. Kyle McLaughlin had 52 yards on 3 carries and one touchdown. Dana Mellege was 8 for 13 passing with TD passes to Troy Williams and Drew Tanner in the overtime periods. Troy also caught a pass from Dana for a successful two point conversion to make the score 14-0. Trent Jones was 2 for 2 in PAT kicks including the game winning kick in double overtime.
