Mystery Teacher
This year in Advanced Computer Applications the students were asked to interview a teacher and write an article about them. The teacher that I am writing about teaches a lot of different classes with their favorite being Reading and Life Skills. This teacher graduated from Peru State College and has been teaching for sixteen years. They have worked in four school districts and have found through this time that their favorite web site is www.tinsnips.org because it is a great site to access teaching materials for special needs students. When asked about the awards they have earned, their answer was one that put this teaches above the rest. They said that the award they feel most rewarded for is knowing that they can help others.
On a more personal note, this teacher has been married for twenty four years and has two children, Chelsea and Charlotte. In their spare time this teacher loves to watch CSI and baseball and also loves to go bowling. This teacher is also musically talented and plays the flute. Their favorite brand of clothing is Christopher and Banks. This teacher says they will buy any shoes that are on sale. Their favorite food at this time happens to be chocolate.
When I asked this teacher how September 11, 2001 affected their life they replied, "It made me aware of just how small our world is and how vulnerable." Even though this teacher has never served in the armed forces, they have definitely done their fair share of hard work and service for the children in our community.
If you haven't guessed this mystery teacher yet, I will tell you that it is our very own Mrs. Allgood from Alternative Education Life Skill Program!
