Auburn Computer Students honored at AIM Banquet

On April 17th, Auburn High School was recognized during the AIM technology Institute’s annual awards banquet.  Auburn High School’s Intermediate Computer Team was recognized as the top team at the E-Biz Computer contest sponsored by the AIM.  The E-Biz Computer Contest is a very prestigious competition.  School must apply to get into the contest and only select number is even invited.  Auburn’s Advanced Team was selected to attend.  They placed forth at the competition.  The Auburn Team was taught and sponsored by Claudette Stevens.

 

This year’s banquet was held at the Qwest Center in Omaha.  The guest speaker as Kevin Mitnick.  Mr. Mitnich is known as the world’s most famous “former” computer hacker.  Mr. Mitnick spent several years hacking into computer systems across the world.  He eventually was captured and started to work for the government and private businesses to improve their computer security.
