Mr. Crawford grew up in Southeast
Nebraska when he was younger and eventually attended school in
Pawnee City, Nebraska. He grew up with two siblings, one younger
sister and one younger brother. During high school he participated
in baseball, football, basketball, and track. After high school he
attended Peru State College to get his teaching degree. He said his
favorite thing about being in college was the people he met. The
first job he got after getting his degree was at Byron, NE where
the school is no longer in operation.
His favorite thing about working in the
Auburn school district is the enjoyment of the people he gets to be
around. Mr. Crawford says he enjoys teaching at Auburn very much.
He teaches American Government and American History this year and
coaches the boy basketball team and assists the track team as
well.
Mr. Crawford now lives in Auburn with his
wife, who also works in the Auburn school district. They have three
kids together, two girls and one boy who are all married. His
favorite kind of music is country and favorite hobbies are
basketball and horses. He is very much into most all sports though.
When I asked him what his career goals are he said, “At my age,
it’s to get through one day at a time.” The one piece of advice Mr.
Crawford has for somebody getting ready to go to college is to do
the best you can do!
