Selective Service Registration is required by law. Males 18 years of age must register. You may now register online at: www.sss.gov. This is required to be eligible for any state or federal financial aid.
ACT and SAT Registration Information: AFTER THE DEADLINE DATES A LATE FEE IS CHARGED!! You may now register online for both tests: ACT- www.actstudent.org or SAT- www.collegeboard,.com.

Visitation and Profession Days
Education Quest will host an Educational Planning/ College Fair here at Auburn High School on Thursday, September 27th. Juniors and Seniors will be allowed time to visit the fair during the afternoon. Watch the bulletin for additional information.
Creighton University Thursday, September 27, 2007 Creighton University School of Nursing presents an professional day. Hours 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 pm at the Creighton University Medical Center Morrison Seminar Room . To register call 402-280-2029 or email JoyceBunger@creighton.edu
UNMC Rural Health Professions Career Day will be held on Tuesday, Sept 18, 2007. You may register for three presentations. Registration forms are in the guidance office on the shelf. Up to 5 students may attend. Anyone planning on attending must return their registration form to Mrs. Bucy with $10.00 payment by Tuesday, Sept.4th. Transportation will probably be provided.
Peru State College will host “Pathways at PSC” a career day on October 16, 2007. More information will follow. Please watch the bulletin.
University of Nebraska at Kearney invites you to their Health Careers Fair on Wednesday, October 24th from 9:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. It will be held in the Nebraskan Student Union in Room 238.
Bryan LGH College of Health Sciences invites you to attend their Allied Health Exploration Evening, Thursday September 6th at 6:30 P.M. RSVP 402-481-8697.
Scholarship Opportunities.
SAE International 2008 Engineering Scholarships: Participating universities offer scholarships ranging in value from $400 to full tuition. To qualify, the applicant must attend an accredited engineering program. Applications are available from the guidance office. Ask Mrs. Jones because they are in the file. The Digies- sixth annual Apple Nebraska Digital Media Competition. Students may enter this competition for prizes. For more information see the guidance office or email Mark Billington at billington1@apple.com.
Hearst Foundation Scholarship Program- Open to Juniors and Seniors students must fill out an application and take a test to be eligible for this scholarship. You must also hold a leadership position at your school. The award includes a week long educational program held in Washington D.C. Please see the guidance office for an application.
Access College Early Scholarship Program Act (ACE) – will pay the tuition and mandatory fee cost of a high school student who wishes to take a dual enrollment or early admit class at a Nebraska college or university. To qualify, a high school student or that student’s parents/guardians would have had to experienced an extreme hardship or currently be eligible for a federal benefit program such as free or reduced price lunches. Applications can be obtained from the guidance office.
Students interested in attending Washington University in St. Louis may see Mrs. Bucy about the Danforth Scholars program.
Students with Asthma—guess what asthma is finally good for something! Maybe even $5000! The Schering-Plough “Will to Win” scholarship program is for seniors with asthma who are pursuing higher education. You need at least a 3.5 GPA with outstanding performance in dance, music, theater, visual arts, community service, athletics or science. To apply go to: www.schering-ploughwilltowin.com.
