Mr. Moran : The Spanish Teacher

    Mr. Moran’s first name is William A.K.A. Bill. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on October 22, 1956. Yes, for all of you who did the math, that makes our very young looking Spanish teacher 51 years old in October.
    Mr. Moran participated in speech, debate, and sports He graduated from Holy Name High School in Omaha. After high school he decided to attend college at Creighton University and his favorite thing about college was his freedom to keep his own schedule. He didn’t always want to be a teacher, he decided to become one after his first 2 years of college.
    When asked what his favorite thing about being a teacher was he responded with, “I like working with the kids.” For the past 2 years he has taught only spanish classes for grades 8-12. It hasn’t always been that way, though. He use to teach social studies and Spanish classes for the 7th and 8th graders. And what about outside of teaching? Mr. Moran likes to walk and read.
    Auburn is where Mr. Moran, his wife Nancy, and his son Greg live. He also has 2 other children, Emily and Brian, who are all grown up and moved out. He also has 2 papillon dogs named Abby and Salsa.
    What about the entertainment part of Mr. Moran’s life? His favorite type of music is Hispanic Pop with Shakira, Mana, and Juan Luis Guerra being his favorite groups. Action and Comedies are the type of movies he is into. His favorite action movie is “The Bourne Ultimatum”, and his favorite comedy is “Airplane” because it is hilarious. But overall Mr. Moran’s all time favorite movie is “The Godfather.” Some more of his favorites are “Noticiero Univision”, which is the news on Univision. “The Closing Bell, “ a business show on CNBC and telenovelas, which are spanish soap operas.
