High School: Academics: Principal's Honors List

1st Quarter Principal's Honors List

by Kevin Reiman

November 02, 2007

Auburn High School is proud to release its first Principal's Honors List.  You may be asking yourself what is the "Principal's Honor List"? As educators, we wanted to honor students who have exemplified characteristics that we value in our school. We have found that our community also values these characteristics. In order to be considered for the Principal's Honors List you must meet the following criteria:

1) Attendance - Student cannot have missed any one class more than 3 times.
2) Punctuality - Students cannot have been tardy to school or any class.
3) Grades - Students must not have a grade lower than a C in any class.
4) Citizenship - Students must not have had any discipline issues with a teacher or administrator. In addition, and of greater importance, we are looking for students who are good role models for other students.

Students who meet the attendance, punctuality, and grade standards are then forwarded to the faculty to Auburn High School. Teachers then nominate those students who they feel demonstrate good citizenship both in the school and in school activities.

Congratulations to the students and parents/guardians who were selected to this quarter's Principal's Honors List.
