Volleyball Wrap-up

Another season of volleyball is in the books. Although their record may not have shown it, the team played very well under first year head coach Steve Petersen. When asked how the team responded to a new head coach, most agreed that the team responded well. Dariane Kimball said that “Some of the girls were ready for a change” and that when Petersen took the job, the team was “Very excited to get the season going.” Emily Parrish added that “Coach brought with him the desire to win games and his attitude spread to (the team).” For the volleyball girls, and especially the seniors, the 2007 season was one to remember. Miranda Leslie said that her favorite part was “Actually having a crowd to cheer us on.” While there were many great memories on the court, there were many off the court as well. Ashley Wheeler said “The dinners were fun.” Many of the players agreed that they had fun off the court as well. Wheeler and Leslie both agreed that the funniest part of the season was coming up with an ace cheer in the locker room.
