Softball wrap-up

The softball team's season ended at district play on October 4th. The team finished with a 6-19 record. In district play the team lost a hard fought first round game to Thayer Central in extra innings. This seemed to take the wind out of the Bulldog's sails as they lost their elimination game to Southern 11-5.
Overall the girls had a fun year. “We had a fun season this year. Our games didn't always turn out the way we wanted but we made a lot of friends, created some amazing memories and end the year with seven strong, leading seniors,” stated Allissa Lockard.
Post-season honors went to Courtney DeBuhr and MacKenzie Gerdes. They were named to the Omaha World Herald Honorable Mention Team.
