Auburn High School becomes a member of College Board

Auburn High School recently became a member of
the College Board organization. College Board runs several
educational services for schools in the United States. Some of those include the
Advanced Placement program, the SAT test, and the PSAT test. Auburn High School is 1
of only 22 secondary schools in Nebraska to have membership in the
College Board organization.
Membership in the College Board will enable
Auburn High School to:
- Participate in the member-driven governance of the College Board and be part of our century-old tradition of helping all students achieve academic success
- Serve on all of the College Board governing bodies including the Board of Trustees and the national assemblies
- Be a powerful voice for change in education
- Take part in College Board–led advocacy through public policy, coalition, and outreach efforts:
National Commission on Writing to promote and support writing curricula
National Office of School Counselor Advocacy to support and recognize the work of counselors
Access and Diversity Collaborative, which provides seminars and publications to help educators evaluate diversity-building practices
- Stay updated and informed through members-only publications
- Benefit from programs and services designed and developed by College Board professionals to help the school work more effectively
- Receive discounted member rates on valuable professional development events such as Regional and National Forums, the AP Annual Conference, and other College Board–sponsored meetings, conferences, and workshops for teachers, administrators, college counselors, admissions, enrollment, and financial aid officers
- Enrich the professional life of the school’s teachers by enabling them to connect with secondary and higher education professionals across the country and around the world.
