School Breakfast and Lunch Program

Parents of students who qualify for free or reduced breakfasts and lunches are urged to complete the necessary paperwork to take part in this very beneficial program.  The application is included in the mailing you received from your particular school or is available in any school office or the Superintendent's Office. You may also download a copy of the application by clicking on the following link.  Free and Reduced Lunch Application

Even if you do not accept the benefits, we hope you make application.  Some federal funding is based on how many students qualify for this benefit, not how many use this benefit.  Additional federal funding for our schools is always helpful. Please remember that these subsidies to the lunch program do help keep the prices down for all students.

Any family currently receiving food stamps or AFDC is automatically eligible for free meals for their children; however, the completion of the application is still required if you have not received a notification letter from APS Food and Nutrition Services Department.

It is helpful  if you send your application well before the start of the school year.  Please send your applications immediately to:  Auburn Public Schools, 820 Central Avenue, Ste. #1, Auburn, NE   68305, Attention:  Susan Lister.
