An Act of Kindness To the Construction Workers

Mrs. Cole’s Second Grade students are very excited about the new school addition at Calvert Elementary. They had noticed how hard the crew was working and wanted to do something to let them know how much they appreciated their work.
The students made graham cracker treats for the construction crew
one afternoon and took them out to the crew. The students told the
construction crew “Thank You” and “We’ll love our new classrooms.”
After all the workers had a treat, the students were able to have a
treat too. Any treats left over were left for the workers.
The sign in the background was created by Mrs. Miller’s Second
Grade students a few weeks earlier. They also are carefully
watching the construction project with anticipation and excitement
about the new classrooms.
