5th Grade Students Attend Safety Day Program

On April 30, 2009 the 5th grade students at Auburn Middle School had the opportunity to attend Safety Day in Tecumseh, NE. This was a program that introduced students to a wide variety to situations in which proper safety precautions must be taken. Presentations during the day included: Severe Weather, ATV Safety, Digging Safety, Hearing Safety, Fire Safety, and Bicycle Safety. In addition the students were able to see how law enforcement officials train and use dogs to detect dangerous substances. Even with the cool rain and wind the students had a great time learning about safety measure they may have to use.
