5th Graders Build Roller Coasters

Mr. Conroy's fifth grade students have been learning about motion, forces and Newton's Laws. To further their learning, students utilized an interactive educational software program to design and build a model roller coaster on individual wireless laptops. Each fifth grader was expected to design a safe roller coaster ride using their obtained knowledge and skills about forces and motion. After they completed their roller coaster, students conducted a safety inspection on their roller coaster. This real-life learning experience was a wonderful opportunity for students to integrate technology into their classroom learning environment.
