Henry Doorly's EdZooCation event attended by Auburn High School FLA
September 28, 2009
Zoos at night can be an eerie place to get an education. However, that is exactly what happened for members of Auburn High School’s Future Leaders of America (FLA) Club.
On Friday, September 25, FLA members traveled to Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha for the zoo’s annual EdZooCation event. FLA members then participated in a non-traditional slumber party that included a hike in the Kingdoms of the Night and sleeping in the aquarium tunnels with sharks and sting rays swimming overhead. Before heading for home, the group hiked through the zoo’s Cat House and Gorilla Complex.
All of the club members thought they had learned a lot as well as having a great time.
