Story image 1

Ms. Pollard, Elementary Principal

By Sharon Pollard

August 01, 2008

Welcome to Auburn Elementary Schools at Calvert Elementary (K-3) and Auburn Middle School (4-6th). My name is Sharon Pollard. As the Elementary Principal, it is with great pride that I serve the elementary students in the community.

I have been in education for 29 years. I taught fourth grade for eighteen years, second grade and third grade, each for one year, in the Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools for a total of 20 years. I have been the Elementary Principal in the Auburn Public Schools for the past nine years. I am a native of Tecumseh, Nebraska. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

I have three children. Matt, a graduate of Wayne State College, is a field engineer for Peter Kiewit Builders in Omaha, Nebraska. My oldest daughter, Stephanie is married and lives near Omaha.  They have a son, my first grandchild, and his name is Peyton.  And my youngest daughter, Stacie, is a Senior at Auburn High School.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my grandson, Peyton, my family and friends, scrapbooking, and gardening.

I am committed to providing the students of our community with a quality educational experience. I welcome your support, interest, and participation in our schools throughout the school year. Working together, as partners in education, it is my goal to provide children with enriching educational experiences in friendly, nurturing, positive, and safe learning environments.

As always, please feel to contact me with your questions, concerns, and ideas at Calvert Elementary #402-274-4129, Auburn Middle School #402-274-4027. You may email me at spollard@esu4.org
