Welcome to Mrs. Riggins' Teacher Page
Hi, I'm Christy Riggins and I am beginning my 7th year as a kindergarten teacher at Auburn. Please stop by my classroom during my planning time and have a look around.
Education
I graduated from Johnson-Brock High School and continued my education at Peru State College. Currently I am pursuing my masters degree through PSC.
Teaching Career
My first teaching job was at Locust Grove in Nemaha County. The next year I moved to Nebraska City and taught for 9 years in the Rural Schools in Otoe County. Auburn Middle School was my home for 3 years where I enjoyed being a paraeducator before moving to Sheridan for one year. Johnson-Brock was my next stop for one year and then back to Auburn where I have greatly enjoyed being a kindergarten teacher.
Family, Hobbies, Interests
My family consists of my husband Alan, sons; Josh, Shannon, and Taylor, a daughter-in-law, Amber, and grandson, Tristan. We live near Brock and have a dog, Missy. I enjoy scrpabooking and spending time with my family.
