Welcome to Mrs. Shaw's class!
Teaching school is a new adventure every day! I chose this profession to make a difference in children's lives. But those children have also made a great impact on me and I am rewarded each day by their presence, smiles and successes. I taught Kindergarten 8 years, First grade 12 years and now I begin the journey of teaching Second graders. I received by BS and Master's in education from Peru State.
About My Family
My family consists of my husband, Phil, a UPS driver and three grown children. All three children graduated from AHS and AHS has been a big part of their successful lives. Our daughter, Dana, lives and works in Auburn and is very active in the community. Our youngest son, Nick , works and lives in Omaha after graduating from UNL. He is a business manager at Aerus, that places medical people all the around the country. Our oldest son, Chad and his wife Andrea, are chiropractors in Jacksonville, Florida. They have given us two beautiful, energetic granddaughters Chloe, 6 and Stella, 4. My husband and I enjoy traveling (especially to Florida), swimming, bowling and participating in Streetrod car shows. We love the 'Big Red' whether it is the Nebraska Cornhuskers or Auburn Bulldogs.
