Welcome
My name is Laura Flies. I teach Title I Reading and Math for grades Kindergarten -- Third Grade at Calvert Elementary School. My room is located in the far right corner of the Multipurpose Room. I enjoy working with children and helping them succeed in their academic careers. I believe all students are able to learn.
Education
I graduated from Nebraska City High School and continued my education at Peru State College. I graduated from there with a degree in Elementary Education / Early Childhood Education.
Teaching Career
I am currently in my 8th year teaching here at Auburn Public Schools.
Family, Hobbies, and Interests
My family includes my husband, Terry, and our 3 sons. Nic will be a 6th grader at Middle School. Victor is in 3rd grade at Calvert. My youngest is David. He's only 6 months old. We enjoy playing/watching outdoor sports and walking our 3 dogs. We also love spending time together reading our favorite stories.
