Math - Science Club News

It's crunch time on the Math and Science Club! The officers have been picked and the planning begins for the year. They plan to have seven or eight meetings and two field trips this year. At the meetings, guest speakers come to tell students about their occupation, career path, and experiences in high school and college. The Math and Science Club is made up of 26 juniors and seniors. The officers this year are Colton Shenefelt as President, the 1st Vice President is Jake Oshlo, Dariane Kimball is the 2nd Vice President, Secretary is Mackenzie Gerdes, and Joey Palmowski is Treasure. Dariane and Mackenzie said they are both looking forward to the field trips this year. The field trips are in Lincoln and Omaha. The students who have joined the club this year have to pay three dollars, which goes towards guest speakers and scholarships. Mr. Wellman said one of his goals was to provide career information for the club members.So as you all can see, the Math and Science Club will be busy this year with all their meeting and field trips!
