George A. Weiss

Hello, I am George Weiss and I teach chemistry and physics at Auburn High School.      I have been in the profession for 42 years, 9 of them at AHS.  I also have been on staff at Peru State College for 25 years, teaching summer school and night school classes.  As long as I can remember, I have always had an interest in education.

Education:

    Graduated from high school in 1960

    BS degree from Peru State College, 1965

    MNS degree from University of South Dakota, 1971

    I have taken graduate classes from UNO and UNC (University of Northern Colorado)

    I have a lifetime teaching certificate with endorsements: Physical Science, General Science,

    Biology and Math.

Family:

I have been married to my wife Barbara for 41 years. Barbara is a retired teacher, she taught 33 years in first grade for the AHS system.  We have one daughter, Heather, who is also a teacher in the Lincoln Public Schools system, at Dawes Middle School.  Heather and her husband Doug have 3 little girls,  Amanda, Emily and Isabel.
