Hello! I am Joellen Hamann and I teach English at Auburn High School. I love teaching and enjoy getting to know each and every student! I teach 9th grade English, 12th grade English and I am also in charge of the The Paw Print, the school newspaper. I am the National Honor Society sponsor as well as head varsity cheerleading coach. I greatly enjoy getting to know the students outside of the normal classroom experience.
EDUCATION
I GRADUATED FROM SPENCER HIGH SCHOOL IN SPENCER, IOWA IN 1996. I THEN WENT TO MOUNT MARTY COLLEGE IN YANKTON, SD. I GRADUATED WITH A BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE IN ENGLISH EDUCATION IN 2000. I TAUGHT FOR FIVE YEARS IN YUTAN, NE BEFORE FINDING MY "HOME" AT AUBURN HIGH SCHOOL IN 2005.
Family and Hobbies
I was married in 1999 to Chris Hamann of Auburn. We have three children together: Carter 5 years old, Cayden 3 years old and Cammie 4 mo. We love to go swimming and traveling to the zoo. I personally love to read and greatly enjoy coaching my 18 cheerleaders.
