Teresa Hahn

August 13, 2008

Hello - I am the Business Teacher at Auburn High School. I began teaching at AHS in 1998. After graduating from Peru State College in 1975 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Education, I worked at the Nemaha County Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Service in Auburn, NE.  My teaching career began at Table Rock High School in the fall of 1980. The next year I was employed as the business teacher at Nemaha Valley High School in Cook, NE.  I taught in Cook for 17 years. I worked on my master's degree when I began teaching at Auburn High School.  I received my Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Peru State College in 2003.

The business classes I currently teach are:  Business Applications, Business Law, Accounting, Computer Basics, Introduction to Business, and Marketing.  This is the sixth year that the business students have belonged to the Future Business Leaders of America.  This year's chapter is very active in community service projects.  This is the 23rd year that I have sponsored FBLA.  I am very proud of the students and the self-confidence and leadership skills that they have gained.

Auburn is a relatively close drive for me on a daily basis.  My family lives in Johnson, NE.  My husband, Neal Hahn, works at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville.  My youngest son, Tyler, is a junior at Johnson-Brock High School.  My middle son, Patrick, lives in Lincoln and works at Norris Public Power as a lineman.  He graduated from Norfolk Community College in 2006 and just recently joined the National Guard.  My oldest son, Jerod, works as a deputy sheriff in Box Butte County in Alliance.

You may contact me before and after school, and during my plan time (9:42 - 10:31 a.m.) by calling 402-274-4328.  You may also e-mail me at thahn@esu4.org.
