Superintendent of Schools Welcome

Welcome to School District #29, located in southeast Nebraska. It is my privilege to serve the 910 students who live in the vibrant communities encompassed in this district as well as the 130 staff members who make it possible for our school to be successful in educating our future. My goal for the 2007-2008 school year is to make our school district stronger and better everyday.
I have 35 years of experience in public education and I'm starting my 16th year as a superintendent of schools. The 2007-2008 school year marks my second year as the superintendent for Auburn Public Schools.
I am married to my wife of 28 years, Linda, and we have three grown children. Our children, Steven Clay (32), Amanda (26), and Sarah (25) all live and work in Austin, Texas. Consequently, Linda and I also have three wonderful grandchildren, Kendall, Abby, and Tatum. who we love to spoil. Needless to say, one of our favorite pastimes is to to travel to Texas to visit these three very special people.
My door is always open, and I welcome constructive suggestions that will make District #29, Auburn Public Schools, the best school system in Nebraska. One of my philosophies is, WE DO NOT HAVE PROBLEMS; WE HAVE SOLUTIONS.
