Superintendent of Schools Welcome

Welcome to School District #29, located in southeast Nebraska. It is my privilege to serve the 800+ students who live in the vibrant communities encompassed in this district as well as the 150 staff members who make it possible for our school to be successful in educating our future. My goal for the 2010-2011school year is to make our school district stronger and better everyday.
I have 39 years of experience in public education and I'm starting my 19th year as a superintendent of schools. The 2010-2011 school year marks my fifth year as the superintendent for Auburn Public Schools.
I am married to my wife of 30 years, Linda, and we have three grown children. Our grown-up children, Steven Clay, Amanda , and Sarah all live and work in Austin, Texas. Linda and I also have four wonderful grandchildren, Kendall, Abby, Tatum, and Owen. who we love to spoil. Needless to say, one of our favorite pastimes is to to travel to Texas to visit these four very special people.
My door is always open, and I welcome constructive suggestions that will make District #29, Auburn Public Schools, the best school system in Nebraska. One of my philosophies is, WE DO NOT HAVE PROBLEMS; WE HAVE SOLUTIONS.
