Speech Therapy
December 20, 2007
Cindy Larson, Speech Pathologist, divides her time between two elementary buildings, the high school, the Alternative Education building, and an off-campus classroom. Cindy tests students to evaluate their needs and develops programs with goals and objectives geared toward enhancing a student’s ability to communicate. Speech paraeducator Deb Mason, under Cindy's guidance, works with students individually or in small groups to help achieve those goals.
As District 29’s Birth to Age 5 Speech Pathologist, Beth Barton provides services to babies and young children in their homes or at preschool. Many supports are provided through a “coach” model in which parents and daycare providers are actively involved.
