Hello, My name is Andrew Seuferer and I’m the new director of choral music for Auburn Public Schools. I graduated from Norris high school in 2013 where I was involved in Marching Band, Pep Band, Concert Band, Speech, Concert Choir, and Show Choir. I’m an alumnus of Nebraska Wesleyan University where I participated in Opera, Opera Scenes, Symphonic Band, Pep Band, Chamber Choir, and University Choir. My principal voice instructors have included Boyd Bacon, William Wyman, and Wes Hansmeyer. As a music educator I believe in creating a safe space for students to explore multiple cultures and time periods through vocal music. Notes, rhythms, and Dynamics are what music needs, but what music really is, is the harmonic connection between all human beings. Music crosses language, time, and cultural barriers. I strive to leave every student with a sense of pride and ownership in the vocal program at Auburn junior and senior high. In my spare time I love to read, bake, garden, go to movies, and spend time with my family. To learn more about the vocal program at Auburn please visit the choral website and feel free to call or email me with any questions you might have!
