Greetings from the Family and Consumer Science Department of Auburn High School! My name is Kandi Rohrs and I am the FCS teacher at Auburn High. Family and Consumer Sciences Education prepares students to engage in the work of the family by critically examining recurring concerns of the family and proactively working toward individual, family and community well-being. My role is to prepare all students for life, work and citizenship through the unique focus on the work of the family.
FCS courses offered at Auburn High School include Foods & Nutrition I, Foods & Nutrition II, FCS 9-10, Creative Textiles, 7th grade FCS, and 8th Grade FCS. I am also one of the teachers who team teaches the Peru State College dual credit course, Introduction to Education. FCS is my passion and it is my goal that every student take a Family and Consumer Science course before they graduate. We have lots of fun and do great things in FCS! Come and join us!
