Hello! My name is Ben Adams and this will be my seventh year teaching. I grew up here in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School in 2007. I attended Peru State College and graduated in December 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I completed my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction through Peru State College in March 2018. I also help coach high school baseball for Auburn Public Schools. I enjoy sports, especially watching the Huskers. I also enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time with my friends, family, and my dog Jax.
What’s Happening in 2nd Grade!
Reading, Writing, Spelling, & Grammar: This week the students will be working on our fourth week of Unit 1, “Animals Need Care”. The students will be learning about the long A sound as in rake. They will also be working on the inflected endings -ed & -ing and root words. Students will be learning about the predicates of sentences & context clues.
Math: Topic 3- Subtraction Strategies (Test Wednesday)
