My name is Andrea Powers and I am an Elementary Special Education Teacher. This is my third year of teaching with Auburn Public Schools. I graduated from Peru State College in May of 2011, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. In June 2012, I began my Masters program through Peru State College. I will complete my Masters program in December 2014, and will obtain a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction,
I am originally from Council Bluffs, Iowa. I currently live in Nebraska City. In my free time I enjoy playing softball, running, and walking my 2 year-old Black Labrador, Bailey. Some of my favorite things include; ANYTHING pink, ice Cream, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (By: Bill Martin Jr. & John Archambault), spending time with family, softball, walking/jogging, and Nebraska HUSKER Football!
I have a passion for children and I am honored to have the opportunity to make a difference in many children’s lives. I am very carefree and love to laugh. Children bring joy to my heart and I enjoy watching them learn. There is nothing greater than seeing the “Ah-ha” that children get when they grasp a concept or acheive a goal.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my Webpage. I hope you find many of the links very useful and pertinent to your child’s education. I look forward to working with you and your child this year.
