Hello! I am pleased to be a new member of the Auburn Public Schools teaching staff. I will be teaching 6th grade social studies, reading, and language arts.
I grew up in Schuyler, NE, and earned my degree in eduction from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. I have taken graduate courses in education at Doane University, Concordia University, and Peru State College. My teaching experience includes 3 years in 1st grade in Lincoln Public Schools, as well as 2 years in 2nd grade and 9 years in kindergarten in the Beatrice Public Schools.
My husband, Jim, will be teaching strength and conditioning at APS, and will be coaching the Auburn varsity boys basketball team. GO BULLDOGS!! We have 5 children and love to support them in their various activities. The three oldest boys are attending college, our fourth son will be a freshman at AHS, and our daughter will be a 6th grader at AMS.
What I love most about teaching is helping kids discover their strengths and develop a strong belief in their abilities. I also love the creative part of teaching and am always on the hunt for engaging activities that will make learning meaningful and fun!
I’m looking forward to an incredible school year in 6th grade, and to working together to help your child be successful. You can contact me before or after school, or during my planning time (9:40-10:27) at 402-274-4328, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
