Bulldog Beginnings Preschool is a center-based program with Auburn Public Schools, under the direction of state and local education agencies, for three to five year olds.  The program consists of 4-sections led by three highly qualified lead teachers as well as support staff in each classroom.  Bulldog Beginnings follows The Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines, which are based on research and evidence about child development and practices that result in the best outcomes for young children.  The Guidelines provide seven domains of learning development.  These domains are:

  • Social and Emotional Development

  • Approaches to learning

  • Health and Physical Development

  • Language and Literacy Development

  • Mathematics

  • Science

  • Creative Arts

Our preschool staff continuously use these seven domains throughout the classroom day to provide experiences that support your childs’ learning.  Many experiences that happen throughout the day are done through play-based learning.  The Preschool Team works diligently collaborating with parents so you are able to bring play-based learning into your home as well.  At Bulldog Beginnings, we are creating an environment with interactions that have a direct impact on your child’s learning and development.  We believe that secure relationships with parents, family members, teachers, caregivers, and classmates help children to feel emotionally safe and confident as learners.
